摘要: 本篇翻译实践报告以尤金·奈达的功能对等理论为核心指导，选取陈忠实《蓝袍先生》与杨本芬《秋园》两部具有浓厚中国乡土气息的文学作品节选作为翻译原文，重点围绕文本中文化负载词的英译策略展开分析与探讨，旨在解决乡土文学翻译中因文化差异引发的难题，提升译文准确性与可读性。文化负载词作为承载特定民族文化内涵、反映独特文化特征的语言符号，是跨文化翻译的重点与难点，其翻译质量直接影响文学作品文化内涵的传递与目标读者的理解效果。本文结合翻译实践，将文化负载词分为物质、社会、语言三类，结合功能对等理论核心要求，提出差异化翻译策略：物质文化负载词以意译为主、音译加注为辅；社会文化负载词多采用加注译法；语言文化负载词以意译为主，解释深层含义避免目标读者困惑。本报告通过具体案例分析，验证功能对等理论在乡土文学翻译中的适用性与指导价值，为同类作品翻译实践提供参考，助力中国乡土文学海外传播与文化交流。
Abstract: Guided by Eugene Nida’s functional equivalence theory, this translation practice report takes excerpts from two literary works with strong Chinese rural characteristics, namely Chen Zhongshi’s Mr. Blue Robe and Yang Benfen’s Qiuyuan, as the original texts. It focuses on analyzing and discussing the English translation strategies of culturally loaded words in the texts, aiming to solve the difficulties caused by cultural differences in rural literature translation and improve the accuracy and readability of the translated text. As linguistic symbols carrying the cultural connotation of a specific nation and reflecting unique cultural characteristics, culturally loaded words are the key and difficult points in cross-cultural translation, and their translation quality directly affects the transmission of the cultural connotation of literary works and the understanding effect of target readers. Combined with translation practice, this paper classifies culturally loaded words into three categories: material, social and linguistic. According to the core requirements of functional equivalence theory, it puts forward differentiated translation strategies: material culturally loaded words are mainly translated by paraphrase, supplemented by transliteration with annotations; social culturally loaded words mostly adopt the translation method with annotations; linguistic culturally loaded words are mainly translated by paraphrase to explain their deep meanings and avoid confusion of target readers. Through specific case analysis, this report verifies the applicability and guiding value of functional equivalence theory in rural literature translation, provides reference for the translation practice of similar works, and contributes to the overseas dissemination and cultural exchange of Chinese rural literature.
