贺拉斯《诗艺》“合式原则”的诗学意义

摘要: 贺拉斯《诗艺》提出的合式原则是西方古典文论的核心范畴，融合古希腊摹仿理论与罗马实用美学，与摹仿、创造共同构成创作三原则。以文学整体性与创作要素适配性为内核，合式原则在题材、人物、文体、语言层面形成具体实践内涵，推动西方古典诗学走向系统化。它从创作规范、审美标准及理论框架维度建构诗学体系，其价值在西方文学中持续传承，经菲尔丁等作家创作实践得以拓展，并在语词美学与跨文化传播中不断丰富。在当代语境中，合式原则蕴含的和谐适配、传统与创新平衡理念，为化解文学形式与内容失衡提供思路，搭建中西古典美学对话桥梁，指引文学兼顾审美与社会价值。作为综合诗学体系，合式原则奠定西方古典文论审美基础，也为当代文学创作与研究提供经典范式。
Abstract: The principle of decorum in Horace’s Ars Poetica, a core category of Western classical literary theory, synthesizes ancient Greek mimetic theory with Roman practical aesthetics. It constitutes, together with mimesis and creativity, the three fundamental principles of literary creation. Centered on literary wholeness and the coherence of compositional elements, decorum is concretely manifested in subject matter, characterization, style, and diction, driving the systematization of Western classical poetics. Its value, continuously inherited and innovated, has been subsequently expanded and enriched through later literary practice and cross-cultural communication. In the contemporary context, decorum’s emphasis on harmonious proportion and the balance between tradition and innovation addresses the imbalance between literary form and content, serving as a bridge for dialogue between classical Chinese and Western aesthetics. As a comprehensive poetic system, decorum established the aesthetic foundation of Western classical literary theory and provides a classical paradigm for contemporary literary creation and research.
