摘要: 本文参照索亚“第三空间”理论并以之为视角,研究《长恨歌》与《私人生活》中的窗口与阳台意象。研究发现,窗口与阳台是兼具物理性与想象性、私人性与公共性的“第三空间”,女性在此展开独特的空间实践。《长恨歌》呈现“被凝视的第三空间”,王琦瑶一生处于被看位置;《私人生活》呈现“窥视的第三空间”,倪拗拗翻转看与被看关系,成为观看主体。与西方女性漫游者相比,两部作品的女主人公均未真正走上街道,而是在窗口与阳台开辟了属于自己的观看位置,这一方面让女性获得观看权力,另一方面也暴露了1990年代中国女性空间实践的限度——从看到走,仍有距离。
Abstract: This paper examines the imagery of windows and balconies in The Song of Everlasting Sorrow and Private Life through the lens of Soya's "Third Space" theory. The study reveals that windows and balconies function as "third spaces" that simultaneously embody physicality and imagination, privacy and publicness, where women enact distinctive spatial practices. The Song of Everlasting Sorrow presents a "gazed-upon third space", where Wang Qiyao remains perpetually in the position of being watched throughout her life. Private Life, conversely, depicts a "peeping third space", where Ni Aoao subverts the relationship between watching and being watched, transforming herself into the subject of observation. Unlike Western female flâneuses, the protagonists in both works never truly venture onto the streets. Instead, they carve out their own vantage points at windows and balconies. While this grants women the power of observation, it also exposes the limitations of spatial practices for Chinese women in the 1990s—a gap remains between seeing and walking.
